Where We Work

Powering Canton’s Union Electrical Workforce

The Canton Electrical Labor Management Cooperation Committee (Canton LMCC) supports union electricians and union electrical contractors throughout Northeast Ohio through a collaborative partnership between IBEW Local 540 and the North Central Ohio Chapter of NECA.

Together, these organizations strengthen the local electrical workforce, support contractor success, and help ensure high-quality electrical work across the region.

  • Stark County
  • Tuscarawas County
  • Holmes County
  • Wayne County
  • Parts of Carroll County
  • Parts of Columbiana County

This regional jurisdiction allows union electricians to live and work close to home while supporting a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects throughout Northeast Ohio.

Supporting a Broader Contractor Network

While IBEW Local 540 focuses on the counties listed above, the North Central Ohio Chapter of NECA represents union electrical contractors across a broader geographic area.

  • Carroll County
  • Columbiana County
  • Harris County
  • Holmes County
  • Jefferson County
  • Medina County
  • Portage County
  • Stark County
  • Summit County
  • Tuscarawas County
  • Wayne County

This expanded reach allows Canton LMCC to support contractors working across multiple counties and job sites, electrical projects that extend beyond a single local jurisdiction, and workforce coordination between contractors and skilled union labor.

By aligning local labor strength with regional contractor leadership, Canton LMCC helps ensure projects are staffed with qualified electricians and completed to the highest professional standards.

Our Reach & Impact

Where we work directly impacts how we support the electrical industry.

Because Canton LMCC is locally focused and regionally connected, we are able to:

Support electricians entering or advancing within the union

Help contractors access a reliable, trained workforce

Strengthen workforce pipelines through apprenticeship and journeyman pathways

Promote long-term stability for the electrical trade in Northeast Ohio

This balance of local presence and regional reach is what allows Canton LMCC to serve both people and projects effectively.
